RDR2, though, the collections were part of your character. Ultimately, I found it a hell of a lot easier to do the collections than in RDR2, where I *had* to use a collector's map to find shit. Like, the collection missions were more streamlined in RDR1 than 2, but RDR2's are more 'in universe.' In RDR1 you basically have a 'god menu' that takes you through collections and you unlock clothes and other benefits as you collect the things on your list. They could streamline a lot of the RDR1 stuff, although RDR1 did some things better than RDR2. There's a small interstitial collection of missions bridging the end of RDR2 to the beginning of RDR1, and then it picks right up. My dream is that Red Dead Redemption 1 basically gets brought into RDR2.
